Sempervivum – also commonly known as houseleeks – can certainly be used for all kinds of purposes thanks for its wide range of shapes and colours available. While Sempervivum features as an appealing and drought-tolerant plant, its survivor nature also makes it ever increasingly a suitable plant for flower arrangements: e.g. bouquets, wreath and centrepieces. Their use in phytotherapy and cosmetic industry dates back to the old times when they were commonly applied for medical purposes: to the skin for burns and bruises, or their juice dropped into the ears against otitis.
